Practice is an important part of any standardized test prep. And the ACT is no different. Below are some full length practice tests you can take for free for extra practice.
The makers of the ACT exam have come up with a few ways to prepare yourself without spending any money. Here’s a free student preparation booklet which includes test information, a complete practice test with a scoring key, and a writing prompt.
Princeton Review offers a terrific free practice that you can either take online or at a local test center near you. After the test, you’ll be provided with a detailed performance report with personalized tips on how to improve. We highly recommend taking this one towards the start of your ACT studying to identify your weak areas and get an idea of your current knowledge.
Here’s another free full length practice test offered by McGraw-Hill. You’ll also find on their site problem solving videos that may help you out with specific question types.
Peterson’s offers yet another free act practice test but you’ll have to register with them online to gain access to it.
Kaplan also offers a online ACT Practice Test but it’s a bit unconventional. You have to register online to sign up for a day that you’ll be able to take the online practice and review.
While this isn’t a full length practice test, if you find yourself needing some more extra math practice Varsity Tutors offers a wide variety of ACT math practice tests to work on.
Good ACT test prep from sophia.org – includes free practice tests with answer keys for each test section. You’ll have to create an account to gain access to the material but it’s worth it. The tests are downloadable in a PDF format.
